When you are interested in someone, knowing if they feel the same way can be paramount. The problem is that they may not want you to know they don’t like you. Out of politeness or because they want to string you along. There are some signs that are universally done by all humans that are hard to sfake unless very practiced.
Look out for the following Stop Signs:
Watch out for FLFNR
F – Facing Away. This is the opposite of leaning in or mirroring. We generally point our body in the direction we want to go. If they are pointing their body away from you, then they are telling you “I’m outa here”.
L – Lips that are tight. Tight lipped, means secretive, but it also is a sign that someone is not interested or doesn’t like what you are saying.
F – Frozen body. When people don’t like something they will often freeze and try and find a polite way out. Their body and face look frozen. When someone likes you they become more expressive, not less. This is a fearful reaction. Pay attention.
NR – No Reaction. People who are interested react by smiling, gesturing, or changing their expression one way or another. No reaction – flat, frozen expressions can be interpreted as a signal that their interests lie elsewhere.
